Walter Hudson Of Denmark's Sporting Goods
September 17, 1995
Walter Lee Hudson Jr., whose downtown Orlando sporting goods store was a gathering place for anglers and hunters for decades, died Friday of cancer. He was 82.
Hudson, who lived in Central Florida for more than 70 years, helped start Denmark's Sporting Goods at 149 N. Magnolia Ave. in the 1940s with Tom Denmark. The business became Central Florida's largest supplier of sporting goods, but went out of business in 1988.
