The Texas Knifemakers & Collectors Association will be presenting Clay Gault the "Texas Legends" Award at the Spirit of Steel Show on Saturday, Sept. 29th. It will be presented at the general membership meeting at 6pm, immediately after the show closes. (Fliers will be distributed at the show with room location) All members and guests are encouraged to attend to honor Clay. Clay isn't in the best of health and it will mean a lot to him to have all his friends there to see him receive this well deserved award. Spread the word and lets get a big crowd there for the event.

To honor one of our members, and long time collectors, Henry Rabke, a new annual knife judging category, "Best Mammoth Ivory Folder", is be established in Henry's name. Many of you may know Henry, or may have seen him at the shows. He's known for buying his own beautiful mammoth ivory scales, then searching out individual makers to build him a knife of their own design using the ivory that he purchased. He has helped many newer makers getting established by helping kick start their business. Our thanks and appreciation goes out to Henry, as well as all the collectors and buyers that support our work.
