Victor, thanks for adding the link to Bill Vining's site.
Those of you who are really interested in making slipjoints will be far ahead if you buy or build a rise and fall fixture. It can be used to build any size or style slipjoint, and really shines when you use it to make mult-blade slipjoints.
If you have access to a vertical milling machine, don't be afraid to make one. It's easy to make and you'll understand its use if you read Bill's on line instruction manual.
