Be careful with the acetone, it is easily adsorbed into the skin and goes straight to your kidneys/liver. Can be very permanently harmful. Might try WD40 in moderation.
Agree with Ray, that much resin seepage will be problematic. Needs to cure out longer and DI takes a while.
ps - next time wear rubber gloves when sanding any oily or exotic woods - none of the dust is good for your skin. You only have two hands, don't wreck them on knife handles.
