I built Tracy Mickley's 'No-Weld' grinder years ago from scrap metal.
I never even painted it.
The wheels and motor were the only real expense. The structural components were less than $20.
I've used KMG, and I've used my 'Frankengrinder'. I find no difference in ease of use or the quality of work I can produce.
There is great pride in building and using your own tools. Yours is an excellent example of craftsmanship--a thing of beauty. You could sell those!
