I finish some wood handles with Danish or Tung oil from time to time--iron woods, whiskey barrel oak, etc.

Once they are dry, I use the same wax on them that I do everything--Old Masters Paste Wax. Almost pure carnuba. (advice from MS Steve Culver)

I used to use Turtle Wax and Ren Wax, but I prefer this product now.

Every surface gets a coat for protection.
