Tony, it probably should be but it won't be. By then, there will be some other new guy who wants to KITH but missed this little class and we'll let him play. But, doing this prep will raise evryone's confidence that they are producing functional blades and that is the goal.
Austin, make the pattern as close as possible. The design is simple and the dimensions are clear so it should be easy. Even if you did print it out perfectly no two of us will cut and profile the blade absulutely the same so a little variance isn't a problem...
