Not knowing what steels they use for their Damascus it's hard to say, but I wouldn't think there is a $280 difference. I am somewhat familiar with the Ingemar Nordell knives and they do make a quality knife so take that for what it is. But they seem to be out of stock on the Damascus knives. Don't forget the shipping charges from Sweden if you are in the USA.
