Hi Manic! (what a name! ) Welcome to these forums!

Yup, you can get that lock just where you want it. Here's what I would do:

Take off the scales and the bolsters again.

Make sure the blade is NOT in the locked position

Snug up the pivot screw until it has no clearance.

Loosen the frame/liner screws slightly. (I'd add another dose of loctite at this point. Go careful with a toothpick to apply.)

Make sure the blade is NOT in the locked position (again! This was the initial reason they go off wrong )

Adjust and/or torque the blade a bit to make sure it centers perfectly.

Snug up the liner screws, and give it a gentle trial.

Fit OK?? give the liner screws your final fitment, and readjust the pivot friction to your liking.

Note: as you loosen the pivot beyond.001" or so, the pressure of the lock and detent will want to press the blade to the side in the closed position. Keep it snug.

Please come back in and let us know how it works for you. And we LOVE pictures. Send a couple to me and I'll post them fo you.

Coop
