I'd like to see an answer to that from someone who does a lot of wood finishing (I use only stabilized wood which needs no finishing). It seems to me that wax over oil could be problematic, sort of a wax or oil but not both kind of thing but that may not be correct. I use Renaissance Wax on any type of handle material. I'm not sure how much good it would do over oil but I doubt it would be a problem ...
