I've seen those, or something exactly like them, Acorn Knives. Is the cast aluminum handle rather thin, like about 1/4-3/8 inch? They'll cut and are about 54 HRC and if you're lucky 56 hard. If you're thinking resale, make two bundles of $20 for one and $25 for the 5 knife bundle with the butter blade (best piece as it's unusual). Sharpen by hand and get a feel for how hard they are, if they feel like you are sharpening soft steel, give as gifts. I never recommend cheating anyone.
