440C Camp Knife
Hi guys!

I've finished this knife a while back but never got around to posting it.

I decided to go for 440C for this project so maintenance would be minimal. I'm really satisfied with the steel's performance. Reasonable edge retention, no rusting nor patina and very easy to re-sharpen.

Here is a video of the process. Sorry for the low video quality but I had to film it all with my phone...

I want to get back to making more videos, so if you like it, please help me spread the video :) !

Is that G10 or Canvas Micarta on the handle? The blade looks good and hefty, is that lightning bolt your maker's mark? Looks cool. I'm a leather sheath man myself, also I don't know a thing about using the plastic kydex for a sheath either so you can't go by me. lol

I saw from the video you used homemade micarta for the scales, looks very good.

Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to watch the video as well!

The scales are a cloth and resin laminate. I use a DIY press that I copied from "fiberpress" (

The touchmark is actualy a part of my written signature but people seem to think it is a lightinning bolt. hahaha I dont know if I should change it of not...

As for the stealth, this was the first time I ever used Kydex... but I have to say that though I think it looks realy bad compared to leather, it is very functional!
