I buy all my wheels from SUNRAY. Just google them and you can contact them. A 1 h.p. motor is not big enough. I made the mistake when I built my first grinder and used a 1 h.p. motor. I used it for a couple years but I was always stalling it. I now have 3 - 2 h.p. grinders and 1 - 3 h.p. grinder. and 1 - 1 h.p. grinder which I use just for small wheel attachment.
I have a verticle forge that is round on the ends and flat in the middle. ( took a piece of 14" pipe and split it length ways and added 6" in between. You can use kaowool with a couple coats of ITC-100. This works really well. I get a lot of use from my forge so I now have one that is made of refractory. It is about 3" thick.

Yes I am getting complete penetration. I cut a block down the middle from every batch to make sure it is all the way through. Most stabilizers will pull vacuum for 20 minutes - 4 hours and hold pressure for about the same. I pull full vacuum for 7 days and pressure for 7 days as well. I also take all my dry wood and store it in a 50 deg F smoker for weeks-months.
When dyeing I also do the same amount of time for vacuum and pressure. The wood is colored all the way through but slightly lighter than the outside. The wood in the pictures had 1 coat of boiled linseed oil on it, which darkened it up as well.
I will send this block to you and if you are happy with it you can pay me then. If not happy you don't have to pay. I would like to hear feedback on what you think of the wood truthfully.

    I need your mailing address.
