Hey guys,

Was not able to attend the class that Koji Hara held at Tommy's house but would very much like to hear what went on.

What did he demonstrate?

Hey Phillip, I did not know he had a class. I would have sure been ther for that one. Man's work is top drawer. Mark
PS. As always, it was a real pleasure to see you and Barry at the show.

Hi guys,

I will tell you for John that in the first day he said he learned more than the price of the class (does that sound right). It was great!!
Even though he was the "instructor" Koji said he learned from the guys there. You know knife makers--always taking out their knives and showing them. John took one of his liner locks apart and Koji liked what he saw in the construction. I gathered he just might try John's style. Oh, and the tree population would have been in danger if the class had lasted any longer. You never saw so much "tracing of patterns".

But you know what was equally as great---getting to know Koji. He is such a good guy. He has a humbleness and a quick sense of humor. With that combination he even kept Travis and Wayne in line.

I got a couple of great pictures of him and his students. You will be seeing them soon.

To see some beauties you should check out his site at www.knifehousehara.com

Nice to hear of his quick wit and acceptance of styles. I like Koji, too.

This Koji piece was in the Display Case in case you hadn't seen it:
