I'm looking for any information about this knife, I've done some research and have been unable to find anything about how/when it was made/used.

I've seen that style before, but I'm not sure where. To tell the truth, it looks more like a hand made piece. Or maybe from around WWI rather than WWII era. By WWII most martial knives were pretty much standard bayonet style with a few exceptions.

I will give you my first impressions. My first thought was it looks like and Italian design. Or it could even be a broken calvary sword that someone took apart and flipped the guard on and added a stacked handle. But that's just a feeling and not really based on any knowledge.

Sorry I can't be of more help. It is cool as heck though. I love old stuff like that.

it is a europe bajonet blade from "berdana" rifle WW2, but it is a fake knife-just look like old
you can see that the blade was turned in wrong pozition,handle is not original,that I think.

It is what is refured to as a theater made knife made from a cut down bayonet. It was very common for soldiers to make this style of knife often using materials like plexiglass and leather for handles.

I agree with Robert, it's a WWII theater made knife. It was apparently common to make a broken bayonet or sword into a knife. Bill and Debbie Wright published a whole book on them.
