View Full Version : Proper heat treat for 410 for liners? hermanknives 04-04-2002, 08:10 PM Anyone here tell the the best heat treating for 410 for liner-locks? thanx SIGGI 04-04-2002, 09:26 PM I haven't heat treated 410 but I found this from a MSD on a suppliers site. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Annealing 1200-1400 F (649-760 C), followed by air cooling. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tempering Temper for desired hardness, air or furnace cool. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardening 1750-1850 F (954-1010 C), oil quench for maximum hardness. It's not much but I hope it helps. Bob Sigmon hermanknives 04-10-2002, 05:47 PM So, nobody here knows???
