I'm a new maker located in Concord. I'm planning on attending the January meeting and just realized that there is a C&E Gun Show that Saturday and Sunday (25-26) at the Concord Expo. Also, there is a follow-on show on March 8-9.

Is anyone renting a table at either event? Has the guild, as a group, ever considered renting a table or two at this type of event?

Hi Mark. I know a number of guild members who hold tables at their local Gun and Knife Shows. I've heard it makes for some good sales as long as prices are in keeping with that market. Apparently makers hear a good bit of: "Why would anyone pay $300 for a knife when they can buy a Buck knife for 20 dollars."

I don't know anyone who attends the Concord shows. I hope you get other replies on this. One of the real advantages to local shows is the fact that they are local. Little or no travel and no hotel bill. For me the Raleigh shows would be the way to go if I were to give this type of venue a try.
