Hey fellas does this week look like a misdeal??? Richard, Phil, and all the rest of the field. I think that this week should be a do over after the Blade show. The fact that one participant was left out was unfortunate, but why should he be rewarded for a goof up. Shi- happens!!! I understand that we want to treat eveyone fairly, but they have done a weird compensation in my opinion. However we aren't in charge so forget this diatribe and suck it up and carry on.

Yeap spit happens ,I do believe don cowles was left out of one, but it went on anyways. At this time there is one vote difference in the leaders. Can't say that it would be any different. If done any different.

I believe he was spotted at least 2 votes and with two men tied with five that's a big difference.

Relax men ... this is just a contest. If we need to rerun the voting, no problem. I made the decision to give Wolf my votes, because I felt like the field had been spotted two days voting over him. The decision: one vote ... from me. The other vote ... from himself. That was the reasoning behind the two votes. Unless I miscalculated Wolf's personal vote, the numbers are correct, yet we can revote to make sure.

Decide what you want me to do and let me know.

Please forgive me for not seeing the mistake at the outset. I saw it when I found someone elses post that brought it up. I will say that I created the voting contest late that night, as I had been in International Customs at Atlanta Airport waiting for Neil Charity (on of our moderators from down under) to clear the shakedown after he arrived. So, I was not all that clear when I posted it.

For future reference, let's don't let this type of thing "black out" the spirit of the games. It's nothing that we can't fix ... and fast.

Guy's ... the real problem here is that our moderators didn't catch the error until two days after it occured. In the future, let's try to be a bit more observant and we can eliminate this type of mis-event from happening again.

In recourse, I want to officially declare last week's contest a non-event. We will reschedule the contest to restart the week following the blade show. If you desire to run your week 9 photos in the new event, just leave them posted and I'll reset the dates on the threads.

Sorry for any inconvenience that has occured.

Well its to bad that the contest went belly up this week. I think everybody made good entries.

I would suggest since wulf is the winner according to the vote that you name him this weeks winner.

I think the contest would really bomb out if left un-attended for 2 weeks. With next week not happening, and then to possibly leave the current pics up for the next round, they will be 3 weeks old. With no activity, im afraid folks would just kind of forget about it.

Just my 2 cents...besides, wulfs pic was good, so it may very well have won anyways.

Richard, You are a true southwestern gentleman and I respect your feelings. You certainly almost had your breakthrough week. I know it's a game and you are the embodiment of that. We shall wait 'til after Blade and pick it up from there. ;)

Gentlemen
Lets not loose sight of the point !!!
the contest I felt was to help and show
lets not make it in to a dog fight (apologies to dogman)
no one LOST anything last week and we all gained a lot
this is just my opinion

OK gentlemen! Where do you think we are? Florida? I know it was a hard week to judge but I see that we have a winner by one vote. I congratulate the winner and everyone else who enterred. This had to be the hardest week yet to pick the best photo. I must compliment the improve composition on several of the shots. In the end I couldn't decide between three different ones so I just went with the photo that had a bit more personal appeal for me.
I would say to hold a new contest for next week. I think we have a winner this week and I look forward to a new batch of shots for next week. I know that serveral of us will be at the Blade Show (ok Bob this is where we gloat) but no one person makes up the contest.

Oh! This is about Wulf being left off the Voting Booth, I thought the Fiasco was that my entry only got one vote and you guys were as amazed as I was and were demanding a Re-count. ;)

My 2 cents, I voted for Wulf's pic because I thought it was the best. I held off voting until I saw it on the ballot and then I just voted once for it. If it had never made it to the ballot my plan was not to vote at all. However it happened, if Wulf's picture won, then it won.

Just so you know, yes my entry was a joke, but I was seriously was hoping it would win. Why? Because, I thought it was the kind of pic that folks on other forums would say, "Hey, did you see the pic that won the CKD Photo of the Week Contest?" I like this Forum, and I want more people to find it, like it, come back and tell friends to check it out. Once again my purpose for entering is not to win, it's to make people look. Right now with the number of votes being caste that should be everyone here's job #1.
