Come on over to Tai Goo's Crucible forum and visit his new 'To Critique And Be Critiqued' forum and post some pics of your work. We're just a bunch of guys that love knives and forging of all kinds and would like to have the opportunity to learn something from your pics, techniques and methods. Come join the fun and get some honest, well thought out critiques on your work. Feel free to chime in on the ongoing threads as well. We want to know what you think about our work too.

It's starting out kind of slow Alex, but I think it'll catch on with time. I think it's like the school dance. Lots of wall flowers and you never really get warmed up and ready to dance until the dance is about over. I'm having fun!

Max,
If you feel our feedback is lacking please say so. There are are fine lines between feedback and possible hurt feelings, but we can become brutally honest. We'll give it to you the way you want it. Some people wouldn't post if they were dealt with harshly. Or brutally honest. I realize that this should be fun and informative.
Please let me know!!!

Steve, I think Max is more refering to the actual knives and not the pictures.

Sorry I missed a major detail. Just thought our comments were not critical enough.

I need to go for remedial reading classes. I misuderstood this post and that's why I answered the way I did. I hope it made you laugh and not annoyed. I will try to improve my reading skills.;)

You always make me laugh Steve. Don't change a thing! This thread is just a plug for the new forum over at the Crucible. I'm trying to get folks interested in visiting it to see what's going on there. It's definately about the knives and not the pics Steve. Of course, if the pic sux you can't see the knife well enough to comment on it. So, at least basic photo skills are needed to make it fair on yourself.

I've always enjoyed the way you fellars handle the comments part of the contest. Breaking it down by the entrants and making selective comments about different aspects of the entries. I call it shelling down the corn. He he.

I didn't post a pic for the contest this week because I've been busy and quite frankly running out of ideas. Not giving up, just trying to get those creative juices flowing. It's hard though because any time I spend on taking pics is time I should be spending working on my orders. Kind of hard to justify since it takes me forever to get just the 'right' pic.

Anyway, thanks for the thought Steve old buddy. I'm looking forward to continuing the contest as long as possible. I tried raising money for a better camera by selling my body on the town square but all I got for my efforts was a few knots on my head from the girls that were a good shot with a rock! I'll get better, worse or stay the same with my photo skills. That much is certain :)
