The Spring 2010 Guild meeting will be held at Don Tomey's shop in Columbus on Saturday, May 1st.
Updates regarding the meeting will be posted to this thread. Please check the Guild webpage, http://georgiaknifemakersguild.com/modules/news/ also for updates, additional information, directions, etc., as the date draws near.
The Guild meeting is open to non-members and we encourage anyone interested to attend. You will see some excellent examples of the skills and abilities of our members.

Guild meeting Agenda – Spring 2010
8:30 – 9:00 Board of Directors Meeting
9:00 – 9:30 General meeting of the Guild; election of officers **
10:00 – 11:00 Bill Snow will demonstrate his ‘elevator’ fixture to assist in grinding
11:00 – 11:45 Charlie or Harry Mathews will demonstrate how to straighten stag
11:45 – 12:30 Joe Sangster will talk about building a slip joint
12:30 – 1:00 Iron in the Hat
1:00 – 1:30 Lunch
1:30 Scholarship Knife Raffle
1:30 – 3:00 Visit, practice on the ‘elevator’ fixture
3:00 Meeting concludes
** The terms of the President, Secretary and Member at Large (Scott Davidson, Randy Scott & Craig Schneeberger respectively) are expiring. Scott has decided not to pursue another term while Randy and Craig will seek another term. A Nominating Committee presented a list of nominees for the President’s position, each was contacted and two, Henry Cambron and Charlie Mathews, accepted the nominations.
Note: Pop’s will be attending also. If you need anything special, contact him at popknifesupp@nu-z.net so he can bring it with him.

Bill Snow of Columbus has contributed the Spring 2010 John Poythress Scholarship knife. It is a 'one of' pattern, hollow ground blade of ATS-34, handle of Goncalo Alves.
