View Full Version : Ever Had Trouble With US Customs?

Hi guys,

I just wanted to ask if any of you non-US knifemakers have ever had trouble shipping your knives to the United States?

I recently moved to the Philippines and when I try to ship a knife to USA I am told all knives have to be marked with the name of the country they are made in. Do you all mark your knives with "Brazil"?

Thanks for any advice you can offer....and sorry it's in English....I don't speak Portuguese.

(Ps I posted a full explanation in this thread )

Very strange Jason.

Probably, Philippines wants to protect their products or the products that were made there. I don?t know the raison but seems that. Don?t they explain why they do that?

Here in Brazil we do not do this?

Feel free to post in English.

Good luck. Bye?

Never when posting knives. I only indicate the contents as "kitchen utencil" or "camping equipment" and it flies all the way to the destination. I understand there's some specifications regarding the country of origin but a small sticker on the article (knife) should do the trick.
