This is a little off topic but I got a replacement motor for my home built grinder. It says it's a 2hp "compressor duty" motor. Any ideas about what this means? Is this a light duty motor? Is this unfit for a grinder? It's counter-clockwise too so I have to turn it around backwards to get it to spin my belt correctly. I'm just wondering if I got a decent motor for this grinder.

Thanks,

DEREK, IF THE MOTOR TURNS 1700 RPM OR MORE IT WILL PROBABLY WORK FINE. CHECK THE METAL LABEL TO SEE IF THE MOTOR CAN BE REVERSED. IF THE MOTOR IS NOT A TEFC KIND YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP ITHE WINDINGS BLOWN OUT.
