I am new on this forum and was wondering if there was anything going on in Charlotte as far as making knives, classes, meetings ect. that I could attend. I have collected factory knives for several years and at the young age of 55 I am wanting to start making my own knives. I have over 100 factory knives right now but want to do my own. thank you in advance.

The closest classes I know of to Charlotte are in Troy at Montgomery Community College.

We are currently getting instructors lined up for the 2009 classes. We should be posting all the details concerning those classes by the first of the year.

I have taken 4 of these class now.they are great and well worth your time.before my first class I had never even touch metal before,And trust me if I can learn anyone can!

You could always come join us at the next guild meeting at Montgomery County Community Collage in Troy NC. Great group of people and alot of knowledge floating around just for the asking. You are welcome to come as a guest. Our next meeting will be in January.
