Just took the Tomahawk Forgeing class at MCCC. Awsome class and Wayne Whitley is a first class instructor. with Tommy McNabb, and the Jones Bro's backing him up you get more info than you can absorb not to mention 1 or 2 nice hawks. I actually learned to forge weld.
I was very impressed with the way the class was done. It was very relaxed and a fun way to learn.
The class also covered how to finish and fit a handle. A lesson on decorateing, wire wrap, and making those fancy little curles at the bottom of the blade. Tommy also did a demo on cutting a heart design in the blade.
Phillip and Barry switched name tags and had fun with me for the first day.(%#@holes). But,were on the spot to answer questions and give helpfull hints. With all these guys there, you were never without someone to answer your questions.
If you haven't taken this class get signed up. For next year.
