Hi. I have a gerber torch (http://www.knivesplus.com/gerberknifegb-1583.html) and I like it. Nice shape and size. But i was looking into getting something better, with better worksmanship and a better blade, but with a similar style and size. Assisted opening would be nice. somewhere in the $50 range. any suggestions? I also really like the little nib that turns into a finger guard when the knife opens. Thanks for the help.

Even if you dont really have any suggestions that fit what im asking for, what kind of folding knife do you carry?

Check out the knife kits forum. Try making one yourself, then you can control the fit and finish.
