Alright! High performance! I can get into this one. This is an area of knifemaking that so many get confused with. Many cannot grasp the variables that go into a high performance blade. Looking forward to many good chats!

Absolutely right Ed. There are so many variables here, all of which we accumulate into our designs over a number of years, that we sometimes forget how complex a high performance knife really is. I spend a lot of time at shows pointing out what I've tried to do in shaping a particular blade and why. A good, clean, high performance design can be a very complicated knife, even though it make look very plain to the average observer.

The number of considerations never occured to me until I had made several knives, and read many articles concerning what people find important when using a knife hard and often. Subtle things also make big differences, particularly concerning comfort in the hand. Those beautiful crisp lines, can be no more than sharp edges in the hand!
