Is there a list somewhere of leather suppliers. I just ran out and my local tandy dealer wants 135$ for a piece of 8-9 ounce about 8 square feet. I am hoping to find an alternative shipper that will ship into Canada.
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
I recently received a cataloque from Weaver Leather. I ordered the catalogue over the web and it was here pretty fast. They have lots of stuff. I have not compared the prices to Tandy but the service and variety is good as well as good info if you are like me and fairly new to leather.
Go to:

Here's a couple for you to check out.
www.leatherfactory.com/ (http://www.leatherfactory.com/) They have a store in Winnipeg. I use The leather Facotry the most. I have one very close-by.
www.tandyleather.com/ (http://www.tandyleather.com/) Strictly online as far as I can tell.

I am from Kitchener Ontario. Thanks for the info I will give them a try and see if they are any better than the local tandy supplier.
Thanks

Steve,
Buckskin Fur and Leather, www.cadvision.com/Home_Pages/accounts/buckskin/buckskin.html (http://www.cadvision.com/Home_Pages/accounts/buckskin/buckskin.html) is a good supplier. I've only purchased deerskin for them, but their prices were comparable to Tandy. For me in the US, the shipping cost was high, but it probably wouldn't be for you. Let me know if the link doesn't work.

Josh thanks for that. That business is in Clagary. I checked the price of their veg-tanned belly and it is 2 bucks a foot cheaper than Tandy.
Their new URL is: www.buckskinleather.ca
Gonna go check on the uRL from Geno now. Thanks Geno.
