Thursday, June 07 is the last day of “real work” for GCKG / NCCKG member, Travis Daniel. Travis now will join the ranks of those wonderful folk who no longer have to punch a time clock, whose time is their own, and can now reap the rewards of their COUNTLESS long years of working. He will be permanently located in North Carolina instead of splitting his time between there and Georgia.
The guys were able to keep it all pretty well under wraps almost till the last minute, treating the day as any normal day that they would be at the airport---they are tried and true friends.

And what would be a retirement without a Travis-In-Training. Charlie has some big shoes to fill but there is no doubt he will be able to pull it off with the guidance Travis has provided.

Many of his friends, family, and co-workers of the Thomaston-Upson County Airport were able to make the event with others calling during the evening to offer him well wishes.

Some a little more flamboyantly than others.

Travis said he is looking forward to having more time to pursue his passions of his family, knifemaking, and promoting custom knifemaking. Congratulations Travis!!! Don’t be a stranger to the meetings in Georgia. You have a talent that needs sharing.
