I tried to get good shots all around with the choke open, closed and half. This is 3-4 PSI.

That looks good Ed. I have two of those critters on my 12 x 24 forge, and can get to welding temp in about 10 minutes, sometimes a little longer. My choke and gas pipe settings change from summer to winter. It's fun messing with those things. I have a thermocouple inside a thermowell so I can monitor my heat ranges very closely. You'll really learn to love that T-Rex! Watch the SS flaired fairing, it'll melt fairly easy. I have the end of my farings up inside the kaowool, and have ICT-100 covering all exposed steel, plus I put the goop up inside the fairing. Haven't had a problem in several years now.

In all fairness the bottom photo was a long exposure, it's a very rich flame and the brightness is misleading due to the long exposure. (still looks superb tho) This is 1/10 of the capacity on the regular.

Now to complete the idle circuit and mount the flange on the forge body.

an update!

I put a brick foundation of T26's and on top of that a stove pipe going straight up. in the side I put the burner under the crucible cup I have, the cup sat on a C shaped brick that I cut, the pipe is lined with 1" wool and itc-100. on top of that I put a hard brick half over the top. It took 4 minutes to melt silver and it was from a cold start. That was using 4psi of propane.
