A great loss in the knife community has occurred this morning with the death of George Herron. George died early this morning from complications from his illness. The George Funeral Home in Aiken, SC will be in charge of the arrangements. They have a website

Mr. Herron was quite the character and a man I am personally glad to have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. He was always an encouragement to John and I can see him now, chewing the fat with John, with that pipe in his mouth and always good for a joke.
He will be greatly missed as both a friend and a great man in the knife community.
