After conferring with Bill Ruple, Don Morrow, and spending an afternoon with Rusty preston in his shop I've finally figured out how to make a multiple blade slipjoint.
Here's a picture of my 2 blade American pattern Trapper.
I used a picture and dimensions from an advertisement to make a detailed CAD design and then used the design for paper patterns of all the parts. It works!!
I'll make the design available on my Knifemakers Supply website soon. It takes a lot more than a pattern to make a multiple blade slipjoint right, though. If you haven't made a slipjoint before this isn't for the faint of heart!
I want to thank Bill, Don, and Rusty for your help with this project. It's taken my self esteem a step forward. :101
