I’m looking for information about making switchblades / automatic knives.
Does anyone out there make switchblades?
Can someone describe how the mechanism works?
Also I live in Virginia, USA and I wonder about the law concerning making switchblades.
Thanks for any help.

You will not find much open discussion on the forums about makign switches. Your best bet is to buy one and take it apart or talk to a maker at a show and ask questions there, so that individual can look at you face to face and be comfortable talking to you.

Hey BB, check this place out. When you get there look for lesson #1. There is all kinds of info there about building and restoring switches. forums.delphiforums.com/Knife101/ (http://forums.delphiforums.com/Knife101/)

Since it has been several weeks since you posted, thought I would ask if you have found any information? I am looking for books on how to build automatic knives. If you have any infomation post it and I'll do the same.
