Well winter has arrived in Oklahoma. It always amazes me at how many places close down for the day when there is just a little bit of ice on the roads. I can understand schools for safety reasons, but buisnesses and such I can't understand.

Come down to Austin, Houston or College Station and drive around when it freezes over, and you'll see why! "Idiots on ice"...the new ice capades show!

Lived in Houston for about six months in my "rebel youth" phase back in the early ninties and they had snow for the first time in several years...it is fun to watch. Also lived in Norfolk (site of the largest Naval base in the world) you have several hundred thousand people from all over the United States and it's territories...that's fun to watch too.
