Hello. I am Bob, I have a career electronics background, and I can't wire my Hercules foot switch correctly.

The switch has a terminal block in it with three posts. They are marked COMMON, NORM OPEN, NORM CLOSED. There is a chassis ground on the case of the switch. I know where my green ground goes, but I am not catching on to the hot (black) and neutral (white).

Bob,connect your incoming black wire to the common terminal and connect the outgoing black wire to the normally open terminal.Tie the incoming white wire to the outgoing white wire. Dave
