Here are a few pictures from this past weekend at Trackrock.

This is Charlie Mathews(front) and Ryan Whittemore working at their forges/anvils.

Not really a great picture, but you should recognize the hat. There is a lot of experience in this picture.

A lot of times it's the young guys that teach us the most important things.

A view from Trackrock Campground.

And one from down the road. No wonder Sandy likes it in the mountains of north Georgia.

To everyone that could not be there. It was a great time had by all. Thanks for the pics Harry. I think the last one is from Sandy's front porch. :photo: The white fence is around his house. I saw it on the way to Trackrock. He's been holding out on us!!!! :lie: This was a fabulous time and will try to bring a forge, anvil, and brother-in-law next year. Thanks to Carl for having us.

Thanks for sharing Harry.
Folks, these pictures are just a tease. You needed to be there to really appreciate what all was happening. I think everyone had a great time, I know I did.

The little guy is Scout, he just turned 6 and that is his second forged knife. He's very serious about the whole bladesmithing gig and stays totally focused through the whole process. I think he likes the quenching process best, but he's learning his way around hammers and anvils. Teaching the youngun's is priceless fellas, priceless!

Sorry I didn't get to spend more time talking/visiting with everyone. It was a busy weekend for sure.
Even Brother Ron "Bowie" Claiborne atteneded by proxie (he called in, business kept him away).

Here are a few more pictures of the things going on at Trackrock hammer-in on October 28th.

This picture is of Carl grinding a knife blade while Ken keeps a close eye on him. Has to be some way to get those dents out.

Ryan Whittemore is giving his blade a close look. It looked good to me.

There was a big crowd there all day Saturday, but when you pulled hot iron out of the forge you always had plenty of room.

Everybody had a good time, some of the best food you will ever eat, and we spent the day around some of the best people you will ever meet. I don't want to miss one of these Trackrock trips.

Some more nice pictures. Thanks again Harry. Particularly like the one of Charlie and of Garret forging blades. The epidemic apreads!!

I'm smiling cause I'm happy........hot forge, plenty of steel, a good hammer and anvil........and good friends ........ OOOOOHHHH Yeah!!!!

Check out that skyscraper forge Charlie's standing in front of. I'd have to borrow Scout's ammo box booster to work at that one.
