T-Wolf 10-17-2006, 08:19 PM beautiful job, amigo. Sandy Morrissey 10-17-2006, 08:45 PM I like every thing about that sheath, Armin. A very professional piece of work. I assume the knife is every bit as spectacular! Mace 10-17-2006, 11:43 PM Nice seath. I might have to try one of those. How about showing us the rest of that knife? Mace Armin Drumm 10-18-2006, 04:07 AM http://www.armin-drumm.de/buildln/img_2696a.jpg Damascus Bowie, O.A.L. 12 1/2 ", blade length 8 1/4", 123 layers of O.1 (80%) and pure Iron (20%), core layer of O1, lacewood handle with brass fittings http://www.armin-drumm.de/buildln/img_2696b.jpg Ice Tigre 10-18-2006, 01:46 PM  Nice leather work indeed, but I love the knife! I like the way you didn't bevel the pommel, nice :) G. snakeman458 10-21-2006, 04:37 AM Armin: great job. I like the modified coffin handle on the knife, adds nice contrast. I have a question about the sheath. why are the sides so wide, I know it is loop style, but I just want to know the wisdom behind so much protusion on the sides. sheath looks good nice work, better than I could ever make. just curious? don Armin Drumm 10-21-2006, 06:11 AM The sheath is so wide because it's the first Mexican Loop Style I ever made, and so I didn't exactly know how wide I would need it. Chuck Burrows 10-22-2006, 12:15 PM Very nice take on the style Armin! I really like the basket stamp pattern which shows a lot of control, especially along the edges (most folks use a border stamp along the edge to even things out and to cover up any littel OOPS! As for the width of the skirt - originals varied considerably - from practically non-existent to really wide - I'd a assume a matter of taste in most cases.... | |
