Bob,
I am wondering if it would be o.k. to use your image of the golfball file handles on another forum? Credit would be given to you.

thanks

I once put a skinner blade in an 8-ball, the owner loves it.
It does make a comfortable handle.

I use antler tips for file handles.
All the crooked ones are trimmed and drilled with a small drill, then just push, then tap the files inside for a prefect fit.
It allows for great control from different angles.

The golf ball thing would work great on my bigger files though.

Thanks Bob

Thanks Bob, I have posted the image to:

It is another neo-tribal area that was started when the last big crash happened and we arf looking at placing the focus on tools and helps that the smith can work up himself.

yeah, I tried some golf balls once, but they were lake balls and they were full of water... Big mess drilling and the files didn't stay put. Get old drive range balls you'd be better off. One day somebody dropped off some elk horn drop that had been out for a couple of seasons and was bleached out. I cut it up and used it for handles on my files. Polished out fine and makes for some neat handles. I'll try to remember to get a shot of them.
