Today the first "hardcopy" of Steel and Fire, the newsletter for the Georgia Custom Knifemakers' Guild was mailed out. I am working to develop a database of members and of "interested parties". If you are a paid member and did not get a copy of the newsletter, please e-mail me (mrsjoan@bellsouth.net) so I can get my list accurate.

John would have been so proud of the work that Carl, Charlie, Harry, Alvin, Wayne, Brent, and Jamey have put forth to keep the vision alive of a first class Guild in Georgia to promote a craft he loved so very much. He really looked forward to each meeting, talking to all of you, learning from all of you, and looking at the knives you would always bring. It is still hard to believe that he is not here to continue in the fellowship he enjoyed with each of you.

I hope to see all of you at Alto in a couple of weeks for the meeting.
