I've run out of projects to make guys. Have you made any more progress w/ your design for a surface grinder Gene & /Bob? Sounded really good and after making my first damascus billets I can really see a use for one.

I have not started mine yet. I am tweaking the finishing touches on my preess and then on to the surface grinder. I really should make a few knives in between projects. I talked to Gene today at the Knife Show but did not get a chance to ask about his. I'm sure he will post pic's when he is done.

WOAH Bill,
Don't ever admit you have run out of things to make, then you have to go back to work. :)
I have a couple of things I must do first, but I'll get to making the new one soon. I am going to need it before long.
I have people wanting some billets and blades made.
I'll need it to get the billets ready to sell.
I am hoping soon, to offer regular cable, my bronze cable, composit cable billets, and mosaics in cable damascus soon to the public.(something new for me)

Hey Gene, good to hear you are going to start showing off your forging skills. Hope it turns out to be a blessing for you. When do you think you might have a new video out about making lockback folders. Keep up the good fight.

I hope to have that one finished by the end of winter.
That video will be much harder to do on tape, and a book will probably accompany it as well.(geometry, designs, ect...)
You'll hear about it first here on TOOL TIME.

You're right Gene not out of things to make at all. Still have blades to make, things to learn (a lot of things too), while helping friends make new machinery, and forges. Managed to run around w/ Nick Wheeler yesterday and help him spend some of his money (lots of fun!) getting stuff to put his new forge together. Tom Ferry has a new one under way also and helping anothe friend make changes to his Grizzly grinder. Whew - no wonder I get tired.
Gotta have a surface grinder however so as you guys progress keep me informed.

I'll keep you posted Bill.
BTW It is always more fun to spend someone else's money, Huh? :)
