Some of you probably have something similar or better, but I tried this and it works pretty good.Took the rubber off the end and cut slot with my Dremel and large cutoff wheel.Great for glue-ups and comes in different sizes.Hope you like.Dave

Good tip Dave. The Quick-Grips are very handy little gadgets around the shop. I've got a bunch of them in various sizes.

Dave,
Good idea, those are handy little clamps, I'll have to put them on my christmas wishlist.
I use woodworkers parallel clamps, you can put alot of pressure if needed and they also allow you to vary the angle of pressure.

I have re-worked a large commercial caulking gun, to use as a knife clamp. The point of the blade rests in a slotted piece of micarta and you can put plenty of pressure to the handle and guard. Works for me.
