Does anyone know where I can find a drill press stand? I got a drill press for free but it has no stand. Looking through some catalogs I couldn't find stands by themselves, I'm assuming it will be special order and expensive but haven't made and any phone calls yet.

Rick, what size press do you have?
I put a two inch pipe on one and made a stand up model.
The pipe is probably metric. Do you have the base, or need that too?And the work table that fits on the pipe?
Try the yellow pages for tool companies locally. Many have used parts.
Machine shops ussually have a couple in the back they use to rob parts off of too.
If all you need is the pipe, get one oversized pipe and machine down the first two inches to fit in the mounting socket,and weld on a base to screw it to the table.
