Just got in some new stuff and I really like them. Since this is some really good work I thought I would pass this one along.

celtic damascus by Doug Ponzio of Prairie Forge. 1 1/8 x 4 1/2 x 1/8

the rest of these are chad nicholas damascus. 1 1/4 square (for bolsters)

This one is not sanded evenly and didn't etch quite the same.

this one is 5 11/16 x 1 1/4 x 7/32. I really need to clean it up some more but I ran out of belts for my sander and need to pick up some more :(

I did not fully clean all of them up but enough to get a basic idea of how they look. These are sanded to 120grit then etched in lemon juice for approx 30-45 minutes.

Just thought I would share so keep up the awsome forging!

plan? Uhm I need a plan? :)

Seriously tho. I am thinking about making a folder patch knife for my black powder stuff :) Problem I have now is the celtic bar is to beautiful to cut :(

I think that would be the hardest part. Desideing how best to use it.

problem I find is the photo's you can tell much from unless they have lots of detail. sadly not many fall into that group. also alot of times i have to have my hands on it to actually see it.

I am thinking possibly of using the celtic damasucs as a handle material :) Not sure if anyone's done that before but it's a good thought.
