I'm putting this kit together and wondering about the "safety" slide button that holds the push button lock. I was a little surprised to see this made of a plastic material. My concern is that with a lot of use the plastic may not hold up.

I am wondering if anyone has used a different material for this "button?" Or is the plastic the best for this?
