Hi, I am putting together this kit and find the pivot pin (which has a flat side) has no way to lock into place when assembled. It just keeps turning and I cannot tighten the pivot pin screw.

I put together the DDR kit and the pin fit through a hole in the liner that had a "flat" side to the hole. Obviously this kept the pin from turning when putting in the pivot pin and tightening.

If I crazy glue the pivot pin to the liner I can probably tighten the pivot pin well enough. But if I use loctite on the pivot pin I will never be able to remove it for cleaning, etc.

All the holes which this pivot pin fits through has perfectly round holes, no flat sides.

Any ideas???

Vapor,

Leave the pivot screw a bit loose till almost last. Open the knife up and let the lock engage. The blade will help to freeze the screw in pace. You won't want to tighten it down fully anyway. Use some loctite and then get it snug.

Worked for others.

you can also grip the blade tighter into the handle with it closed, and it will putt tension on the pivot so you can tighten it.
