Thanks, you guys.

It's too bad that everyone did not have the opportujnity to meet and get to know Red. He was truly a fine and honorable man. His sweet wife, Bernita, also is the best. They were a great team.

I am truly hnored to have been chosen for this wonderful award, and I'll always treasure it and the feelings I had when my name was read.

Reporting from the Doggett knife shop, Brandon Fla. Here, being tutored by him and by Mike Smith. More news later, assuming that what these very fine fellows are teaching me, "takes!"

Thank you, all, again, for your kind congratulatory words. I'm honored. Thanks is a small word for the feelings I've had. I surely do appreciate all the Guild members bestowing this award upon me, and Mike Walker, the co-recipient this ear. We both received the same number of votes.

Yea right :) I think it is probably the other way around. I knew that Doggett was up to no good.
Really I am just jealous the he is getting to learn from one ot the truly great makers of our time.
That Dog is a man on a mission.

Thank you. There surely is a long list of great knife people who've received that award through the years. I was really touched. Still am, as a matter of fact.

Thanks, guys. If you'd had the opportunity to know Red, you'd be able to feel a bit of how I feel to have my name connected with his. As nice a man as you'd ever hope to meet. It's neat the the Guild puts such emphasis on a legcy left by such a fine man. Not for a man that made millions, well he did, millions of friends, maybe. His life was that of helping and being nice to others.
