Hi,
I recently ordered the DDR3bl kit (it's in route). Can some one let me know what size spring it takes for auto conversion?

I did a search of the forums, and one poster said that he used the .375 coil. I used one of my smaller springs that I had on hand, and it works fine with my ddr3. -john

Hey Jim,
All you will need is the .375 coil spring that you can get from knifekits.com.
The rest of the tools will be the same as for the regular DDR3.
If you use carbon fiber for the scales, a spacer material will need to be added to raise the thickness to match the bolsters. I believe the .030 or larger would be fine.
Remember that in some locations autos are restricted.
On a side note, if you'll posts your questions on the knifekits forum, you'll get a lot more answers than on this portion of the site.
Welcome to the forums!!

Bill,
I am glad to know the spring is .375 now. I placed my order yesturday and sales was not sure what spring it was, but thought it was the 0.43 diameter. Do you think the .43 will still work?
Thanks for any help you may have.

I don't have one in front of me but I think you need to make sure it's the .375. I use the MAXX version, it has a pretty good snap. I think the .43 will be too big to fit in the hole properly.

Bill,
The same thing happened to me with sales and they sold me the .43. No it does not work, the OD is too big, you need the .375 and the MAXX, not the MEG the MEG is too tall.
