Ed...got the blades today!! They look purty with them colors! :)

They will become Santokus, the shorter one with pauduk handle and the other with stabilized and dyed maple wood, not burl. Steel is 52100/410 clad by Mr. Daryl Meier. HT of course, by Ed Caffrey!

you can see where the temper lines will be, and if all worked out correctly, the edges should be Rc 57-59, and the spine areas (below the SS) should be 38-40.
Now get those thing finished so we can have a look see! ;)
