Well I finally finished my knife for the competition. I also finally figured out how to make it through the paper without taking it out of the clip (at least most of the time) I think the paper is harder than the rope! Anyway I am excited about the MKA show but still have three knives to complete. See everyone whos going there.

Hi Tom!
I need to do a bit more practice on the paper myself. A lot of the paper staying in the clip is luck so far. Hope you've got some cool stuff made up for the show. Right now I'll be lucky to have a couple of knives for the show! I can't seem to get much made, and as soon as I do, it's out the door. Working on a mosaic bowie, but not sure it will be ready for the show. Maybe I'll just show up and forge for a couple of days! :) Look forward to visiting with you at the show. Remember to bring some forging clothes with you, I don't want any excuses for not seeing you with a hamer in your hand!

Hi Ed
I will have a few knives but not as much as I would like. Trying to finish up the folders this week. I will definetly forge with you but I have been using the press for so much of my forging now that I may be a bit out of practice just using a hammer. Nick Wheeler is going over with me I believe so maybe I can get him to watch my table because the wife has to work. I know what you mean about keeping the paper in the clip. Today I cut 10 pieces no problem then couldn't cut the next 15. So I am still trying to figure out the angle of attack or speed or whatever it is that I do half the time. See you there. OH yea the damascus on my folders is a new variation on the radial.
