Thought I would drop a note to let everyone know that until my computer gets fixed (or replaced), I might be a bit scarce. I've had a lot of trouble lately with getting bumped off my ISP, and really slow performance. I thought I'd try to fix it and ran Regclean on it. I suspect is goofed up and deleted a file that was necessary. I can get to the desktop screen, but then it stops responding and locks up. It's going to the shop in the morning, but who knows when it might be healthy again! My Mrs was kind enough to let me use her machine tonight, but it lacks all the cool programs like Paltalk, and all my knife files.

Bummer Ed,
We just went throught the same thing not too long ago. Ended up buying a new machine. Man what a racket, sell a high priced item that is guaranteed to be obsolete in 4-6years. Actually they're probably obsolete as soon as you leave the store :-(
Hope you can fix it,
Jon

That is a big bummer Ed, I recently copped a virus that wiped my system completly. Until this happened I did not actually realize how much I relied on the computer to keep the business running these days. Hope they can fix it Ed.

Ed; hate to hear of your puter problems. I can definately relate since my machine is about six years old, and crashes are almost daily. Get it fixed as soon as you can, we miss you in the Paltalk room Pal.

Ed, Regclean is supposed to save all the changes that it makes and you should be able to restore the registry to it's old set up. Try the Computer center one of those guys should be able to help you out.

Hi All!
Well, looks like whatever I screwed up, I did it right! Talked with the computer tech yesterday, and he says that the only way we can fix the machine is to wipe it out and start from scratch. He says he might be able to save some email files and such, but could not promise anything. Looks like sometime next week before it finds it's way back home. If he can't save files, I'll post it up on the forums, and start building my files again. Guess that will teach me to backup more often!
