A local surplus store is selling NEW
3/4 HP, reversable, 1723RPM, 5/8"shaft Baldor motors For
119.95$$ Cdn.

I think I'm going to pick one up for a Disc sander motor.
If anyone else is interested in one just send me an E-mail.

ERIC DID YOU PICK ONE OF THESE MOTORS UP? DID IT HAVE THE CONTROLLER ALONG WITH IT? HAVE YOU USED IT YET AND DOES IT WORK WELL? THANKS

Nope, By the time I got to the place , money in hand they were sold out and were not taking rainchecks.
They have them in stock again now but at their normal price.
I'm not sure if the controller came with it or not.
I'll check when I'm there this weekend,
I'm going to pick up another motor there, a 3HP that runs on 220. I'm using it for a grinder i am just finishing,i don't think I will have any power problems :)

Eric and Ken,I don't think that is a DC motor so probably won't have a controller. It is possible to get a variable speed drive for your AC motor which makes it fully programable, but they are a little pricey. It is not quite as good as a DC motor and controller, but will work for those who do not wish to change mtors.Dave
